Playing in Miami

Some of you may remember the saying "The Sun and Fun Capital of the World, Miami Beach" from the Saturday evening Jackie Gleason Show which aired from the Miami Beach Convention Center (home of 2003 DEMA Show). As President of the Dive Miami Alliance, I thought the hospitable thing to do would be to give you tips and suggestions on where to go and what to do in the "Sun and Fun Capital of the World".

To visit Miami and Miami Beach and not submerge yourself in our rich cultural surroundings would be foolhardy. With virtually every variety of food available, amazing nightlife, diverse architecture, stunning views and world class diving, Miami loves to entertain!

The immediate area surrounding the Convention Center and the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce offers an incredible selection of dining, an unforgettable array of clubs and some of the best people watching in the world. When ready to explore, you'll want to go east from the Convention Center towards the ocean and then south on Washington Avenue, Collins Avenue or Ocean Drive to the heart of South Beach.
